18. Hunter x Hunter

Seasons: 1
Episodes: 148
Hunter x Hunter is another title that you cannot miss and a good suggestion for those who want to immerse themselves in the world of anime. This anime featured two adaptations: the first released in 1999, and the second in 2011.
Here we are going to refer to the second version of the anime, considered the most complete, since it adapts all the plot arcs seen in the manga.
The universe created by Yoshihiro Togashi is very rich, with a unique magic system (through the use of Nen , which is the energy of one’s own aura, basically) and with a quite characteristic mythology.
Each Hunter x Hunter arc is almost like a standalone anime, with different themes and the inclusion of exclusive characters. Although the viewer continues to see the trajectory of Gon Freecss, the protagonist, and his friends evolve in search of what it means to be a Hunter, the plot does not end only with that and presents differentiated stories with their own autonomy.
The anime proposes a reflection on humanity, with interesting and controversial topics such as prejudice, inequality, poverty, family, among others.

16. Tenchi Muyo!

Seasons: 4
Episodes: 26 + 26 + 26 + 26
Tenchi Muyo! is a series of anime, manga and light novels, created by Kajishima Masaki and Hiroshi Hayashi, about a young man named Tenchi Masaki, which was so successful that it became a franchise.

15. One-Punch Man

Seasons: 2
Episodes: 12 + 12
This is another anime that (unexpectedly) was hugely successful and cannot go unnoticed by Seinen fans enjoying good battle scenes.
One-Punch Man tells the story of Saitama, a young man who begins an intense training with the goal of becoming the strongest superhero in the world … and he succeeds!
Capable of defeating his foes with just a single blow, this bald, yellow-uniformed, rubber-gloved hero (sexy, huh?) Has wowed audiences with a humor and attitude bordering on the ridiculous at times.
One-Punch Man is a festival of clichés from traditional shounen storytelling , but it has already conquered the hearts of a legion of otaku . To understand the reason, you will have to watch the series and let yourself be “infected” by this fever!
14. Charlotte

Seasons: 1
Episodes: 13
In an alternate world, some individuals possess special powers that only develop when they reach puberty. This is the case of Otosaka Yuu, a young man who discovers that he is capable of “possessing” people’s minds … but only for 5 seconds.
This is what makes Charlotte different and what makes this anime quite an interesting option for those looking for a story that stands out from the usual: the limitations of the powers of the characters.
For example, there is a girl capable of becoming invisible, but only to one person at a time, and another who manages to be possessed by spirits, but only by her sister’s … And this is how this team of people with “super “powers.
13. Death Parade

Seasons: 1

There, people must participate in a series of games that serve to try to decide their respective destinies: reincarnate on Earth or condemned to wander eternally through the void.

Izumi Shinichi, a 17-year-old student, was one of those victims … Well, more or less. A parasite tried to invade Shinichi’s brain, but was unsuccessful and can only dominate the child’s right hand.
With the help of Migi – the name of the parasite that happens to live in the boy’s hand – Izumi transforms into a superhero who fights the other parasites.

Seasons: 1
Episodes: 74
Escaping a bit from shounen anime , Monster is one of the most acclaimed seinen among fans. Based on the manga of the same name, created by Naoki Urasawa, Monster is produced by Madhouse, which is already a good start.
The story accompanies the neurosurgeon Kenzou Tenma, a successful doctor with a commendable reputation, but who sees his life totally change after a tragic episode.
This anime has been praised for being quite faithful to the manga on which it is based, and both manage to maintain a plot with constant suspense without losing the dramatic tone. And by the way, the series has one of the best villains in history!
7. Erased

The manga that inspired this anime is composed of 8 volumes. Netflix produced a highly successful live-action series that has won over fans due to its great fidelity and quality, as well as delving deeper into the psychology of the characters than the anime itself.
6. Another

Seasons: 1
Episodes: 12
If you are a fan of horror anime, Another cannot be missing from your list.
Based on the light novel by Yukito Ayatsuji (and which was later adapted into the manga), this anime has a great load of supernatural suspense that delights its followers.
The young Sakakibara is transferred to the North Yomiyama school, going to a class that is far from normal.
Horrific deaths and constant fear haunt the students, who believe they are trapped in a curse that began 23 years ago when one of the students died. Or at least that was what was thought.
5. Cowboy Bebop

Seasons: 1
Episodes: 26
Without a doubt, this is one of the cult anime among fans of the genre. Cowboy Bebop is different from most Japanese animations. With purely cinematic scenes, an impressive color palette and a spectacular soundtrack, watching this anime is almost an obligation of how good it is.
Cowboy Bebop tells the story of a group of bounty hunters in a future where humans have migrated to other planets in the Solar System. The human population has grown disproportionately, as have criminals, and it is up to the members of the Bebop ship to hunt down the evildoers. With this plot as a base, each episode explores mature and philosophical questions, such as loneliness and existentialism.
Cowboy Bebop has a lot of influence from American culture, mainly from western films and from the mafia and jazz of the 40s.
4. Bakuman

Seasons: 3
Episodes: 25 + 25 + 25
From the creators of Death Note themselves , Bakuman is the anime that every aspiring mangaka has always wanted to see. The anime’s story revolves around Mashiro Moritaka and Takagi Akito, two young men who want to become the best mangakas in the world.
Ignoring the teen drama present in the anime, Bakuman is a true class on how manga creation works. The production stages, the relationship between author and publisher, the difficulties of having the manga approved and how to keep it weekly among the best sellers … all of that is portrayed in this anime.
Bakuman also makes a satire (and tribute) to various contemporary anime and manga, such as One Piece and Naruto.
3. Psycho-Pass

Seasons: 3
Episodes: 22 + 11 + 8
With a touch reminiscent of Minority Report , Psycho-Pass is ideal for those who enjoy science fiction stories, with a dense, complex plot and quite stylish characters.
Psycho-Pass depicts a futuristic dystopian world, where all human beings are considered probable criminals, until proven otherwise. People are constantly analyzed and observed, being punished before even thinking of committing any type of crime.
The anime addresses very interesting questions about the human psyche and reflections on the meaning of good and evil. Another good suggestion for anyone who wants to flee from senseless blows.
2. Berserk

Seasons: 1
Episodes: 25
This is one of the most popular seinen series in the world. Recently, its creator, Kentaro Miura, passed away, and it is unknown if the manga’s story will ever come to an end.
Berserk revolves around a former mercenary and cursed swordsman named Guts who lives on a mission to hunt down the demonic Apostles. The series has many scenes of graphic violence and other elements that are not suitable for a child audience.
The fighting in Berserk is epic, but that is not what makes the series so wonderful, but the density of the plot and the quality of growth of each of its characters.
The series has different adaptations, but if we can give an advice, it is preferable to skip the most recent ones, especially the one made in 2016-2017, since their quality leaves much to be desired. To see a good adaptation of Berserk, we invite you to take a look at the first one, which was made in 1997, but if you want to enjoy history and drawing in all its splendor, it is preferable that you read the manga.
1. xxxHolic

Seasons: 2

Another CLAMP masterpiece, with characters so charismatic that it is impossible not to get hooked!
