Amber Heard and Johnny Depp: The movies of the newly separated.

The trial of the most mediatic actors in recent years has come to an end. The American justice has unanimously found Amber Heard guilty  of defamation against her ex-husband De Ella Johnny Depp .

The jury’s sentence includes a payment of 15 million dollars by the actress to the actor , but also indicates a payment of 2 million dollars by the popular “Jack Sparrow” to his ex-partner for a counterclaim for statements by his lawyer .

According to Johnny Depp’s own agent, Jack Whigham, the actor was to be paid $22.5 million for a sixth ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ movie, but Disney scrapped the project after his ex-wife accused him of domestic abuse.

The witness in the lawsuit said the deal was nearing completion, but Heard’s article in a Washington Post op -ed was “catastrophic” for her career. Of course, said agreement was verbal.

In the two years after the opinion piece was published, between December 2018 and October 2020, Depp appeared in ‘zero’ studio films, Whigham told the court.

The agent pointed out that even when Depp was cast in the independent drama ‘Minimata’, the film struggled after the article came out. “Financing got shaky, Johnny’s fee was cut to save the movie,” the agent added.

Depp earned a total of $38 million between 2017 and 2020 for his performance.see alsoCamille Vasquez, Johnny Depp’s lawyer: “The verdict confirms what we have said from the beginning”

Amber Heard and her future in ‘Aquaman’

On the actress side, ‘Aquaman 2‘ was going to be the project where she would return to stardom with her role as Mera . However, the judicial process has made her participation uncertain.

Also at trial, Amber Heard testified that Warner Bros. reduced her role in the sequel to be released in 2023. “I got a script and then new versions without certain stunts that showed my character fighting with another. Basically, they ate a part of my paper. They removed a lot.”

The head of the company, Walter  Hamada, explained that they did think about looking for a replacement for Amber Heard , but due to a lack of chemistry between the actress and the film’s protagonist, Jason Momoa .
