I’ll be honest from this first line: Chainsaw Man is, without a doubt, the best anime released during the past year 2022. It is obvious that the material on which it is based has an unquestionable quality, but the great expectations that it had been raising since it MAPPA announced that he would take over the series could have played against him. However, the studio has offered us a round anime from beginning to end throughout the twelve episodes that make up the first season.

There have been many comments that the pace of the series was quite slow. However, in my opinion it has been perfect, managing to present each of the characters perfectly and leaving us wanting more episode after episode. For a lot of demon or a lot of chainsaw, it is not necessary that everything is action. In fact, there are scenes like the morning routine of here they are a real joy.

With regard to the story, this is largely based on characters with a very elaborate development and that end up showing an undeniable chemistry on screen. And I’m not just talking about Denji, here, power Y Makimasince, although it is true that they are the ones that carry the greatest weight in the series, others like Himeno, Kobeni either Kishibe they are not left behind.

Besides all this, Chainsaw Man it’s a technical delight. The series has an animation that works perfectly at all times and that has left us incredible scenes. Chainsaw Man It is the best anime of 2022 and perhaps one of the best manga adaptations ever made. Undoubtedly, Tatsuji Fujimoto he will be calm and very happy with the result of the series.

As if this were not enough, we have a charismatic cast of characters to rage, who would need rivers of ink to shell them out properly. Denji, pochita, Makima, power, here, Himeno, etc., are built in such a perfect and different way that they give the story a devilish solidity (pun intended). And speaking of devils, or monsters, or demons, these are not far behind either. The way in which these are integrated into the world of the work is surprisingly natural (and terrifying in many cases).

Technically Chainsaw Man It is a scandal, a madness, a spectacle for the senses. Animation and design of 10, dizzying and wild. In fact, in this regard, the anime is much more effective, narratively speaking, than the manga. Fights and actions are followed and perceived more clearly.

I do not know if Chainsaw Man It is the best series of the year. I honestly don’t think so, but its value is undeniable and its quality stands out on all four sides. If you are looking for a very good story of supernatural wild action, and that removes you inside, Chainsaw Man it’s your series.

The work that had been making a noise, almost scandalous, was going to have an anime adaptation. That manga that came to revolutionize the genre, or even, some barked that it was going to change the medium itself. And it was made to beg. A long, almost torturous wait. But, in the end, it was worth it, and a lot.

All those who came to look at Chainsaw Man a bloody display, of entrails everywhere and dismemberments will be more than satisfied. But it may be that without realizing it they are slowly losing what makes them human. What sets us apart from the rest? An objective? Something as simple as touching a pair of breasts. A mission? Become a unique work. A promise? The one to throw all the meat on the spit and make it burn. The personal bet of a study in one of the most unique works of recent times. A leap into the very void, an all or nothing.

And I’m sure we can say that MAPPA He has made a deal with the demon from the future. They were clear from the beginning. For them it has been a safe bet and they could not have turned out better. If the base of Tatsuki Fujimoto was already spectacular, the study manages to pack and expand the vision of a peculiar author.

Everything is designed in a big way: the opening, one ending per chapter, action scenes that take your breath away. And despite all this, the work allows us to sit down to peel an apple and ask ourselves, how much is it worth to make love?

Whatever he tells you, he will know little. Everything I praise will seem like a lie to you. But it is clear that the heart cannot be fooled.

I have good, great news for all those moviegoers out there who stay up at night to watch weird, B-movies, grotesque, violent, disturbing, or brutal movies. Those rare movies that we recommend to certain colleagues because they were not suitable for sensitive eyes. Well, you know what? Someone as crazy as us has written a story and his anime has not left anyone indifferent.

I must admit that in this case it has been impossible for me to see only three or four episodes, since, from the first bars of the opening, I knew that this anime would make me want to see more and more. So I pulled the chain of the chainsaw and started walking and… the road has been non-stop! I have taken blood and entrails, which is what I was coming for, I have fallen in love with characters, I have laughed until I almost vomited my food and I have cried at moments when the only sound in the room was my crying and my screams for revenge to Fujimoto. “Those who dare disturb our peaceful life, death!”

With masterful animation by MAPPA, and some planes and times characteristic of the cinema, we come across a story that has elements for all tastes. Whether you are dogs or cats,Chainsaw Man it’s your series!

Of course, each episode will leave you at the gates of madness and you will see yourself making pacts with the devil himself to be able to see the future chapter. Everything to know if our “great hero” finally manages to achieve his dream, even if it is with the tips of his fingers. I want to see how our characters evolve, how new ones appear and, above all, what Fujimoto has in mind for this work. I’m dying (to want) to see more.

For my part, I had already read the manga of Chainsaw Man just this past summer, so when the anime started I had a lot of expectations, since I love the story, but seeing it animated is another matter.

They have left me with my mouth open. They have followed the plot to the letter, without skipping any detail. They have recreated a lot in each scene and have told even the smallest thing they could imagine. The characters have a unique charisma and they have managed to capture it perfectly. I would even say better than the author himself, since sometimes he confused certain secondary characters in the manga because they looked so similar, and in the anime it is not like that. The bad thing is that this first season only covers up to the fifth volume, and they have left me wanting to see more. But hey, we just have to wait until the next part is released and we can see pray in all its glory.

What to say regarding the animation? Anything you say falls short. They have taken care of even the smallest detail., not only in the most important action scenes of the plot, but also in the everyday scenes where the characters go out smoking on the terrace or simply having a coffee. Even the curtains coming out in the background had impressive movement, or the dust particles in the air. You can perfectly appreciate the quality of MAPPA, but already taken to another level. If this is the future of animation, welcome to it.

Something that has impressed everyone, and no wonder, is the musical section. Being able to hear different endings in all the chapters is incredible. Since they have had artists of the stature of Maximum the Hormone. Not only this, but they also changed the images according to what was happening in that episode. Although in a much crazier way. Impossible not to be with your mouth open the truth.

In short, an essential anime that everyone should watch. The story is tough and there is a lot of blood and destruction, but what happens if you face demons right? You are going to get a lot of love for all the characters, even if they only appear in a few chapters. For my part, I adore Makimaand that still has a lot to show.
