Shuji Hanma – Tokyo Revengers
Welcome to a new installment of miniature beauties, the section in which we show you some of our favorite figures in detail. On this occasion, thanks to Banpresto Spainwe have the pleasure of being able to show you in depth a figure of shuji hanma within the general collection of Tokyo Revengers. A pre-painted figure, static and with a base, measures about 16 centimeters and is sculpted in PVC/ABS.

Ken Wakui The publication of Tokyo Revengers began in March 2017 in the magazine Weekly Shōnen Magazine of kodanshawhere it remained until its completion on November 16, with 31 volumes compilations for sale. The manga won the Best Shōnen award at the 44th edition of the Kodansha Manga Awards 2020. In the following link you can find our review.
Editorial Standard has published in Spain the first 12 volumes of this collection, corresponding to the first 24 volumes of the Japanese tankōbon edition. The publisher has also launched the Catalan edition of the work, which has 7 volumes published.
Ken Wakui’s work has an anime adaptation by the studio Liden Films (Deadman Wonderland, gangster). The first season, broadcast between April and September 2021 with a total of 24 episodes. In Spain it can be seen in its entirety through crunchyroll in Original version with Spanish subtitles and with Spanish dubbing. And, currently, it has a second season broadcast on Disney+ Worldwide.
In addition to the anime, Tokyo Revengers also has a live-action film adaptation, which opened in Japanese theaters on July 9, 2021, reaching number one in the Japanese box office on its first weekend. The film is directed by Tsutomu Hanabusa (kakegurui, Miseinen dakedo Kodomo ja Nai), while the rock band SUPER BEAVER interprets the main musical theme of the film, a song that bears the title “Namae or Yobu me”. The film could be seen in Spanish cinemas on April 22, 2022 thanks to the distributor Digital version.
Likewise, there is confirmed a second part that will be divided into two parts. The first installment, titled Tokyo Revengers 2: Chi no Halloween -Unmei- (Bloody Halloween -Fate-), will be released in Japanese theaters next spring during the Golden Week holidays, while the second will arrive in summer with the title of Tokyo Revengers 2: Chi no Halloween -Kessen- (Bloody Halloween -Decisive Battle-).
Shuji Hanma, the god of death
shuji hanma he is a thin and tall character, a bit unmotivated, who only finds emotion in the fight. With the sole purpose of finding adrenaline, the young man goes into street gangs. But she realizes that he is above the rest, even winning a fight against ten people, leaving Hanma with no emotion from the fight. This seems to come to an end when he meets Tetta Kisakiwho will welcome him as a companion and his faithful right hand.
Moving on to the figure at hand, it is presented in a carton box on whose front face you can see a close plane of the figure. Likewise, on the sides you can see the figure in full size, while on the back we can see the same image of the front face, but on a black background. This aesthetic of the box is already an old acquaintance within the general collection dedicated to Tokyo Revengers.
Once we look inside, we find a cardboard containing the figure in one piece and a circular base. Assembly only requires putting the pieces together and placing the figure on the base, thus leaving a rigid figure with a defiant pose and the devilish smile of a lover of violence and adrenaline.
Like the rest of the figures in this collection, they have a great sculpted finish and a painting that complies, although it lacks some depth. The chosen pose, with one hand in his pocket and the other exposed, accompanied by an intimidating smile, is perfect- Little dynamic, but especially characteristic.
This figure of shuji hanma It has several details that make it especially interesting: the uncovered hand tattoothe jacket edges, the pendant on the sleeve where you can clearly read “VALHALLA” or the symbol of the band on his back. All this makes it one of the most detailed figures in the collection and a perfect option for fans of this character.
By your side, the base is black and simple. It does not incorporate any incentive, but at least it maintains the same style as the rest of the figures. In addition, a small relationship is maintained in terms of size with the rest of the characters in the collection, making it possible to appreciate the height of shuji hanmawith a perspective of 3 cm of difference with, for example, that of takemichi.
For me, these collections of general figures of works, such as the kizuna no sou of Kimetsu no Yaiba wave of Jujutsu KaisenThey are the perfect quality-size-price definition. They have a height to be able to enjoy the details of the figure, a paint finish that meets and a price with which it is difficult to compete, or resist.
