On the official site for the anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Taku Kawamura, My Clueless First Friend (Jijou wo Shiranai Tenkousei ga Guigui Kuru), a new commercial for the project was revealed. The video confirms that The premiere is scheduled for April 9 in Japan.and shows a fragment of the closing theme titled “kokorone” and performed by Kitri.
More members of the voice cast were also announced, including:
- Wakana Maruoka as Sumire Kasahara.
- Kouhei Amasaki as Kotarou Kitagawa.
- Jun Fukuyama as Akane’s father.
Kawamura began publishing the manga through the magazine gangan joker from the publisher Square Enix in May 2018. Previously, the author already wrote other works that have not been adapted to anime, such as Ryuunen! todome-senpai and Kawaii Kouhai ni Iwasaretai.

Synopsis for My Clueless First Friend
Opposites attract when a cheerful airhead meets the loner of his new class in this heartwarming school comedy series.
