Anime and manga are no longer a niche entertainment service; Today, Japanese mangaka and animation studios have made a name for themselves in the industry , both in the West and in their country of origin. So much so that we have also begun to receive manhwas , webtoons , etc. in Spain. It has proliferated, and I am delighted. We have more and more options, and that is why today I want to talk to you about the animes that I think are going to break it in the summer season of 2022 .
I start from a very clear idea: I hope that everyone arrives in Spain legally. All the premieres that will be available have not yet been confirmed , although it would be rare if any of those present were not. In any case, I don’t want to take much longer. So here we go. Or as an old acquaintance from Final Fantasy VII would say, “allévoy”.
Overlord IV
The fourth season of Overlord has everything to be one of the anime premieres of the season . After all, it is one of the series that has gathered the most followers in recent years. The manga and the light novel have been licensed in Spain and the anime is produced by Madhouse, one of the best in the industry.
Although it is an isekai, its premise is quite different. After all, in Overlord the protagonist is a Liche who has no problem killing or deceiving human beings to ensure the future of his own. Momonga, aka Ainz Owl Gown, has everything to reign in summer.
Kanojo, Okarishimasu 2nd Season
Being honest, this series is not a saint of my devotion. I don’t like its protagonist and I think the plot is… questionable; I’m not passionate about harems in which the concept of love is blurred in favor of argument. However, this is my personal perspective. The precedents say otherwise, because Kanojo, Okarishimasu was a success when the first season premiered . It is expected to be repeated.
Made in Abyss: Retsujitsu no Ougonkyou
Made in Abyss already broke it there at the time, so it is very likely that it will do it again. This series has generated contradictory feelings in a large part of the fandom , because its chibi -type design enchants, as well as the obscurantism of its plot, but there are those who say that there is something more behind all this. If it sounds like you, you already know what I’m talking about. Otherwise, you’re better off that way.
Be that as it may, Made in Abbys is a series with a very interesting plot with the gift of offering us very unusual insights into different archetypes of human beings. Also, it plays with fantasy and technology in a very interesting way.
DanMachi IV
DanMachi, or Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka IV: Shin Shou – Meikyuu-hen , is another series that draws a good legion of followers behind it. Many people have criticized its unnecessary fan service and the excessive amount of ecchi it offers, but… If we can put that aside – if you can’t, I completely understand – there is much more.
The plot has everything to capture the audience: a fantasy world in which gods from all known mythologies coexist along with dungeon exploration, level systems, special abilities, etc. As a curiosity, in case it doesn’t sound familiar to you, its title in Spanish would be something like “And what’s wrong with trying to flirt in a dungeon?”.
Yofukashi no Uta
Unpublished series produced by LIDENFILMS. It is based on Kotoyama ‘s manga of the same name and could be one of the most prominent releases . In this story, we meet Kou Yamori, a young man who is not sure what is the meaning of life for him. Day after day, he attends school, but because it is what he has to do. One day, however, something happens, and he stops going.
